Fat Jack`s Homestyle Diner and Pub in Boston Bar

From the outside it looked cool, great potential, walked in and went "oh-oh"...took the risk, order their Juicy Burger, and was really surprised at how good it was...same with the fries. My buddy ordered the Clubhouse, real turkey. Moral of the story? Never judge a book by it's cover.

Very well located just past Hope and the food is good. They make a very tasty veggie burger too!

The best stop off for grabs between Vancouver and Kamloops. The bacon cheese burger with homemade fries filled me up. Tasted great! Service was stupendous. Worthy to stop by

Amazing food and services!

It's been sold and bought a couple of times in the past year. Not what it used to be, I'm afraid. In there with my son about 3 months ago. Sauce was sour. Sent it back. Went with toast. My kid got Ill a couple of hours later on something he ate. Bad day for Fat Jack I am assuming, but I skip them now.

Excellent homemade burgers. Forget the gas station burger joints. Made fresh these burgers are levels above fast food places.

Our family stayed at the attached motel and ate a few meals here. $5 breakfast was amazing and more food than we needed. For "Linner" we had great fried chichen and burgers. We will definitely stop here again when we are going through.

If you’re driving through though Boston Bar , you must spot at Fat Jacks. I’ve tried most of the food on the menu and I’ve never been disappointed. Good staff , good food, good price.

Great food and service

Very tasty burger, first place I have seen offer mac N cheese as a side on a burger (for no extra cost). Helpful and friendly service, will definatly be stopping in again on my next trip past.

The food was good as well as the service

We stopped in for brunch en route to Kamloops. The staff were super friendly, the food was fantastic (we had two different eggs benedict options, kids had bacon and french toast), and coffees were refilled almost quicker than we could keep up. They’re really kid friendly, and our girls enjoyed a spot of colouring while their food was prepared. We were actually recommended this place for dinner last night, but it had closed early (2pm) like most places around here that are still operating reduced hours. Thankfully they’re still opening early every morning for breakfast!

Fast and delicious food, best pies in town

This is a post of when todd used to own the place. Todd was the best chef period. He knew his way around the kitchen and maked fantastic culinary cuisines. Too damn good for ol Boston bar. I know its changed hands since and i haven't tried the new owners gear but i needed to let ppl know about Todd's culinary craft.

Awesomely delicious food.Great fries!

For real, this place was amazing! We got the ribs and they literally fell off the bone. Spoke with the guy serving us and he told us that they recently took over the business as the old owner ran it badly. The food is homemade. Ribs are marinated for a day and a half and slow cooked for 5 hours. Huge side Cesar salad and perfectly steamed veggies. Burgers are juicy and big. The guy said they often cater to trades men so they have big portions because the worst thing to happen is someone leaves hungry. They have a kids menu and seniors menu. They are up to date with the menu offering pulled pork and brisket too.

Food wasn't great. Coffee was like dishwater. The waitress dumped gravy all over my phone. Hot inside- no air conditioning.

One of my favorite reastrants, good food , good service .I hear there is music played from 1pm till 5 pm.fridays !! How awesome is that? These, people make the differance.💋

This place is a hidden little gem just north of Boston Bar. I have driven past it many times, and always had a feeling that, “I bet they have awesome burgers?” My intuition was spot on. I came here to get my lunches for work on most days while I was in the area for about a month. I was never disappointed. This quaint little place has a local family friendly atmosphere. You can tell they take pride into the place, which reflects the love they put in preparing your meals. The service is top notch, very friendly and inviting. I highly recommend this place if you’re staying in the area, or if you’re just passing through. You will not regret it.

This place definitely changed ownership and is coasting on the previous reviews from the old owners. I would skip this and go Somewhere Else instead.

Ate here a few years ago and it was amazing, all the food was made fresh. Stopped the other day and it's under new management. The food was average and obviously processed. Won't be back fast food restaurants are cheaper and similar quality.

Nice place to have a bite on the highway. Food is of lower average quality, burgers were definitely frozen patties. Service was kinda slow for an empty restaurant. 3 Stars for availability, clean dining room and edible food.

The food had zero flavor and the service was really bad. I wouldn’t eat here again.

What I got was not what was stated on the menu.I saw a deep fried half chicken on the menu served with apple coleslaw and fries.What I received was 2 pieces of chicken, a small portion of fries and coleslaw that was inedible. When I complained about the meal, the owner tried to justify his misrepresentation by saying he wasn't trying to pull a fast one on me, but where was the rest of the bird?The coleslaw veggies we're so dry, I'm sure they were bought prepackaged and several days old, with a few so slices of fresh apple added.

Best burger and and fresh cut fries in western Canada! Fresh lettuce, tomatoes and red onions and steak spice on the fries made them perfect. The young waiter gave us service that was better than most restaurants in Vancouver. Well done!

Perfect stop for lunch with kids when driving from Vancouver into the valley. We had eggs Benedict with ham and another with chorizo, both were done perfectly and the servings are huge. The kids shared a classic breakfast with bacon and they also loved it. We will definitely come back next time we are up this way!

Food is great, owner very friendly, lots of local regulars. Steak is amazing, and so are the burgers. Cook is willing to customize, for my low-carb diet restrictions for example. Presentation alone is five-star.

It's a good place to stop n grab a quick bite to eat

Fat Jack's is really quite good. Not just as a Boston Bar restaurant but overall. The food is tasty. The service is great. The staff are awesome. The interior is what my circle calls "Caribou Chic" (note the OSB dance floor area). I stop here a couple times per year on my way to go camping. I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and everything I've ordered is good. They even have an espresso machine and can make a decent coffee.They have really delicious - looking pie for sale which I heard is baked locally. Although I haven't tried any, I've heard good things.If you're from the Lower Mainland heading up the valley, skip right by Rolly's in Hope where your parents forced you to eat on your way through when you were a kid and swing into Fat Jack's instead.

Great food...I had borscht and it tasted great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
